Allion works closely with customers on interoperability and other required testing services for IoT devices. In our state of the art IoT facility, with a real home simulation infrastructure, Allion performs repeatable testing for a wide range of IoT products and different customer base.

Not all USB type-C and type-C receptacle are compatible with earlier USB models. Allion has developed USB-C 2.0 type A to C conversion receptacle, recognized by USB-IF, that can be used on PHY, Protocol, Power, IOP (Gold Tree) testing projects. With exiting USB-C 2.0 Host / Device HS SQ test fixture to meet HS / FS / LS SQ and Package Parameter test we are able to perform full USB interoperability test.

USB Type-C PD products could be difficult for testing different PDO. Allion’s PD Emulator technology allows simulation of Type-C PD SNK or SRC and PDO information software switch between different power outputs. Allion’s PD power supply test is outstanding for testing USB PD VBUS (max 5A) & Vconn (max 3a) for all 3A/5A Programmable E-Load for Type-C.

Allion recently organized the USB PD fast charge summit held on September 1st 2017, at Shenzhen, China. There were participants from all over the world who enthusiastically contributed and shared their experience and knowledge on USB testing and technology. Allion General Manager in the Greater China region, Mr. Lai Jun Hang supervised the summit and dialogue on the USB PD certification testing procedure and interoperability issues.
